I come here all the frickin time, probably once a week. I have tried almost the entire menu - if you like black bean burgers then this is the spot for you. Their crispy chicken is ace. Fresh ingredients. Haagen Dazs milkshakes. They are fast in the kitchen and it's very clean. The burgers = think Five Guys but not greasy. They even have a local craft beer pairing guide and I should be ashamed I have yet to order a beer. My only complaint is that their fries are a little thin. Good thing their other sides are great, check out the veggie frites.

Salty salty salty However it was the greatest burger and made it not very good for me I had mushroom and grilled onion. Not a lot of meat. For me a big juicy burger swimming in onion and mushrooms is not about grease. We will not be going back that is for sure. Menu is way to small and very limited choices. The best thing of it all was the young lady who brought the food and truly was beyond courteous friendly and so nice. She gave better service than a sit down restaurant. Wendy's is better quality and overall food. Glad we had a coupon

I'm not much of a burger or fast food kind of person, but I really enjoyed smash burger. I love their seasoned fries, it's very tasty and fills my salty food cravings. Their food is fresh and consistent, way better than average fast food... But than again their prices are too. But if you're craving burgers and need one in a pinch, this is the place to go! I don't like their salads though, I had old spinach that was already smooched at the bottom of my bowl and their dressings are bland. On top of $2 chicken add on was like 5 short strips.

I've tried multiple burger joints in the surrounding area, but nothing comes close to the burgers and the service of SmashBurger. The food is always excellent and everyone is always friendly and welcoming there. Some of my favorite burgers on the menu are the BBQ bacon and cheddar burger and the spicy veggie black bean burger.

I stopped in here after seeing that it, and Tijuana Flats, recently opened about two weeks ago. "Smash Burger" sounded like I had to go in to see what the heck was so smash burgeresque about it. My review for those who hate to read: Its Five-Guys meets Steak-N-Shake. Its has a very clean and roomy atmosphere. Its got the now common digital-age ordering feel to it. You walk up to the service counter and stare at an electronic billboard flashing different foods in front of you along with an electronic menu. It has quite the sterile feel at this point. They give you a number after ordering from a pretty small selection. But, its a burger place, not Cheese Cake Factory so I guess its suitable. It was very nice out so I sat outside. I also didn't like the institution feel of the interior. Its nice inside, I just did want to feel part of "the machine" that night. My food came out quickly. Which was not a surprise based upon the fact that there was only one other patron who already was eating plus you cant order your burger to your temperature liking. There are three types of french fries you can have and I chose the Smash Fries because...I was at Smash Burger. The Smash Fries were "tossed with rosemary, olive oil and garlic". It sounded good. Not so much. It got old about 1/4-1/2 way through. They also had sweet potato fries but if I'm eating healthy I'm not frying my sweet potatoes. Im not the guy at Mc Donalds ordering supersized Big Macs with a supersized fries and then orders a Diet coke. I got fries, and I had oil on top of it. The burger was OK. Its the typical Steak-N-Shake, Five Guys, Wendy's burger patty. I was expecting chopped meat from a "cow hanging in the freezer" if I'm at "Smash Burger". It was good. Overall, the atmosphere and food was good. I had nothing to complain about. The negative-like review is from the expectation someone gets when they park infront of a place called "Smash Burger" and get "Five-Guys II". I like Five Guys. I like Steak N Shake. I like this place too. I am not going to suggest it when sitting on the couch looking for a place to eat. I will gladly stop in when in the neighborhood needing food.

This is a new burger place that my wife and I drcided to try. The burgers are great but a little on the greasy side. They have good sweet potato fries and fried pickles, but everything on the many is a la carte. This really drives up the price of your meal. Don't be surprised that for two people you get a bill around $20. Not a bad place but I would only go there once in a while.

Went here for lunch and ordered the spicy baja burger. Everything is made fresh and you can sure taste it, the food is really good. I was really tempted by the milkshakes but I managed to resist but I will have to go back and try one eventually, especially the nutter butter and butterfinger flavor, sounds yummy. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the gentleman who helped me was listed as "superman" on my receipt, which made me smile. The food came out quickly as well especially since they do make everything fresh.

Sorry Five Guys and BugerFi, but I've found a new lover. I feel sorry for Wendy's and Mc Donald's across the street, SmashBurger blows them away! Many more choices, and with a homemade burger taste. You won't see a Wendy's square or Fast Food Frozen circle burger here! They are handcrafted and delicious! I had the build your own burger... a Regular Burger, Chipotle Bun, Cheddar Cheese, and a Fried Egg... With French Fries..Ammmmmaaazing. But if you want something even better get the SmashFries they were YUMMMMMMM. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, friendly and fast service. Served up like a $$$ restaurant but with a laid back vibe. The only thing I am not glad about, its right across the street from my apartment. I'm scared it might become a serious addiction! Definitely the BEST burger in Boynton Beach. I LOVE THEM! Now if they were only 0 calories I'd have to marry them.

Dined here for lunch a few days ago with a girl friend of mine. First impression was good, restaurant is clean, everything organized. The kitchen is semi open so you can see the kitchen staff in the back cook your food. The guy behind the counter was indifferent, maybe a little impatient. Not extremely helpful nor did he make any recommendations after he saw we were having trouble deciding on what to order. My friend ordered the bacon cheddar burger and the onion strings and I got the Miami burger with smash fries and the chocolate Oreo Shake. Service was super fast. Food was exceptional. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Frozen fries were a bummer. Also, wish the burgers were cooked to order but were delicious nonetheless. Shake was average but good. Pretty reasonable priced. Less than 25 dollars for both meals and the beverages. Would recommend to friends and would have no hesitation dining there again.

Good food for reasonable cost. I ordered the avocado burger. It was not bad. I wished they weren't so chincy on the avocado though. The sweet potato fries here are terribly delish. I'd come back just for those! They would be amazing with some type of sweet dipping sauce like caramel or something. Overall, a good burger joint.

With a selection of local craft beer from Holy Mackerel and low priced burgers this place receives a warm welcome from those of us in the east Boynton/Delray area. With limited parking and long lines at nearby Burgerfi coming to Smashburger seems like the smartest choice for a quick burger. I ordered the classic and skipped the beer on my recent visit. The burger was simple but flavorful and the fries were a tasty. The deep fried pickles were awesome and a nice companion to my burger. The restaurant was neat and not overly packed when we arrived during lunch time on a Saturday. When we went to grab a drink from the soda fountain we found that Coke, Dr. Pepper, and Sprite were all low on their syrup but after it was brought to a staff members attention she was quick to fix the problem. Great place, great burger, and even better addition to our east Boynton area!

Cucumber and goat cheese chicken smashbuger was delicious the last time I came, tried the mushroom swiss burger this time and it was a little greasy but good. Sweet potato smash fries were delicious as always and the panic attack holy makeral was even better. :)

This is one of the burger joints we were curious to try because colleagues has been saying that this place is good. We went there after lunch so it wasn't that busy. The place looked clean and new. The cashier was friendly and gladly explained to us how to order from their menu. We ended up ordering a single Truffle Mushroom Swiss burger and 2 double Avocado Club burgers with sweet potato fries and 1 Haagen-Daz shake for to go. We got our food within 10 mins. The food part: we agreed that everything was good except for the Mushroom Swiss burger which I had. I am very fond of mushrooms and I have tasted better Mushroom Swiss burgers. That's just for me. The fries and shake were delicious but a bit pricey.

The black bean burger is amazing. Top notch. Tonight I had the bacon avocado burger with smash fries. Amazing as always. Speaking as an executive with a degree in HR, I have to say I've always been impressed with the quality of staff at this location. Props to the hiring manager! The staff here are always friendly, helpful, welcoming, positive, pro-active, and knowledgable. That reason alone will keep me coming back! Tonight Tim served us. Hopefully Smash Burger works hard to keep those that add so much to their business!

Wow does this place ever suck. Talk about rip off... $15 for a paper thin chicken sandwich, toothpick fries and a "hand spun" (poorest from machine) shake... The shake, which is EXACTLY like McDonald's was $3.99 alone. In fact the whole meal was worse than McDonald's if that's possible. The food sucks and the prices are high. Avoid.

Delicious! I had the crispy chicken spicy jalapeño baja which had guacamole, pepper jack cheese, fresh sliced jalapeños, lettuce, tomato, onions and chipotle mayo. It's a pretty big burger. Don't forget the smash fries which is tossed in olive oil with rosemary and garlic. You can really taste the rosemary and its really good. You can also build your own burger and add anything you want. (Everything taste better with a fried egg and bacon) Just saying. :)

We got the truffle mushroom swiss burger and the bacon burger. The fries don't come with the burgers. We also got a vanilla shake. The meal was good but I do prefer Two Guys.

Great place for a burger. Some Yelpers feel the prices are high for casual-dining burgers; as long as your expectations are in-line with their niche, I think you should give it a shot. Overview: Good burgers. Similar to Five Guys but a thicker, hand-tossed patty. Heavy on the salt. More so than other burger chains. Great toppings: Guacamole, Very good bacon, mushrooms. The "Signature" burgers have really great combinations of toppings, very interesting and tasty. Great burger buns: Multi-grain, Egg, Spicy Chipotle. Plus a neat twist: A few great vegetarian / health-conscious alternatives that most burger joints don't offer: Spicy Black Bean Burger. Flash-fried Carrot & String Beans which are excellent, even if you're not on a health kick. Shoestring fries are very good. Salty with that McDonald's fry taste. I prefer the Five Guys fries, but if you enjoy McDonalds fries, they succeed in satisfying that craving. Chicken breast is decent, not excellent. Salads are fresh with unique combinations. Great variety of milkshakes (Butterfinger, Oreo, Nutter Butter, plus the norms). If you've been to BurgerFi, Smashburger is similar. I wouldn't say one is better than the other, both equally good although Smashburger has a few more options.

Best "Gourmet Burger" join in Boynton, way better then five guys or burgerfi or any of the major burger joints. Sure there are better burgers out there, but for the price and customer service and damn good! Fries are not the best, sweet potato fries are better, but still not the best

  • Sarah S.

Friendly service. Clean restaurant. Burger was good :) I had the Miami. I ordered the big size, but I probably could have finished two! It tasted great and everything was fresh. My boyfriend enjoyed his custom created burger too! Oh and the fries are nice and thin and quite tasty. Not "out of this world" and a bit out of our way.... so I'm not sure if we will make it back.

So slow, 6 kids working. No one could take my order. Smelled so bad inside I had to wait for my takeout order outside. Luckily I wasn't eating this nasty crap. And the staff have the personalities of a flea. #neveragain

Just another burger joint. I did enjoy their spinach, cucumber with goat cheese salad. Chocolate flavored shakes are a waste on the waist and fries are extremely salty.

Awesome burgers! I like this concept. Great value for a fresh burger. Indoor and outdoor seating choices make it cozy. They serve beer and have fast, friendly service. I get there a couple of times a month and have not been disappointed. Try it, I'm sure you'll agree.

Terrific burgers, good service, excellent ambiance. I come here all the time when I want a fresh, flavorful, satisfying burger. The menu has a nice variety of options - I particularly recommend the avocado club; BBQ, bacon, and cheddar; and the spicy jalapeño baja. Service is quick and the restaurant itself is clean and has a low-key atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

My office is just up the road from Smashburger, which is very dangerous for us! We have a hard time not coming here several times a month. I love the create your own chicken sandwich and my boss usually gets the baja chicken sandwich. We both love the smash fries and veggie frites. To me, Smashburger is a better version of Five Guys, but that's just my opinion. I'm taking away one star, because when they first opened up they had call ahead ordering, but then took it away. The wait is a little obnoxious when you're trying to grab a quick lunch, but since my boss is obsessed, I still usually sit there and wait. It would be much easier if they brought back call ahead ordering or if they had an option to order ahead online :)

We ordered our food on the phone for pick up. gave them our credit card info over the phone. We had ordered two burgers and a shake. The shake was half full in the glass. I told Hannah (from her name tag) that our shake is barely filling the cup and I asked her if shakes usually come out like that. She rolled her eyes and just said "I don't know." And walked away. She was rude about it. I said that if I am paying the price for a full milkshake, I want it to at least fill more than half the cup. I deserve my money back. She refused to do anything. Don't expect much from this location.

You can tell their burgers were frozen. Reminded me of a bubba burger, or worse. Would not recommend. Although the smash fries and the milkshakes are pretty good.

I love this place!! Always get the big bacon and cheeseburger with smash sauce and the large smash fries are the best. The haystack onion rings are great as well. I was helped by HANNAH and she is great. Stop by and give it a try.

  • Janette D.

Black bean burger with Swiss cheese, truffled mushrooms and smothered in chipotle sauce...Best veggie burger ever! Unfortunately, it is so filling I never have room for the smash fries which are amazing. But it is a burger joint and you have to order at the counter. There is no ambiance. You wouldn't hang out there with friends. I would normally drop a star for this, but the food, for what it is, is so good I just can't give it less than 5 stars.

  • Aubrie J.

Glorified fast food but oh so yummy!! They even have really awesome veggie bean burgers. If you're looking for something fast and tasty I definitely recommend Smashburger.

This is my first Smashburger visit and compared to the tons of other upscale burgers, this place can compete with the best of them. I had the avocado burger with cheese and it was fantastic. I also had the regular (not smashed) fries and they were above average. There are now a ton of burger choices and this one is definitely one of the better options.

    (4)
  • Ashley T.

Wouldn't go there for a burger...maybe the sweet potato fries & shakes. Burgers are not all that, slopping and the bread is always soggy & way over priced. I've definitely had better.

Since my husband loves his burgers and I don't, I always appreciate a burger joint that has options for vegetarians and those who prefer not to consume red meat. Smashburger fits the bill here. I'd heard a lot about this place and was really curious to try it out. Disappointingly, they were out of the spicy Baja black bean burger on my first trip. So I opted for the classic chicken sandwich, and mixed it up by ordering it on a spicy chipotle bun. My husband had the classic Smashburger with Smash fries. I was pleased to see they also have a selection of salads. The chipotle bun was really spicy. I was surprised by that. The chicken patty was large, well-seasoned and juicy, although perhaps a bit too salty. The lettuce and tomato in my sandwich was very fresh. It came with Smash sauce on the side which seemed to be a spicy sort of curried mayonnaise. The Smashburger was also very fresh and juicy and they remembered to put the pickles on the side for my husband, as they are not his favorite. The only disappointment were the Smash fries, they were thin cut and limp with oil. the seasonings were pretty overwhelming and so in short, they really need some work. Charm City is still better overall but Smashburger's hamburger is actually tastier than Five Guys. If they work on their fries they will be some serious competition. It will be interesting to see how Shake Shack measures up when they come to town.....

I stopped in for lunch and decided on the classic burger. Burgers are cooked to order so its a bit of a wait, about as long as you would expect at Five Guys or another "not so fast" burger shop. I opted for the single and decided to try their sweet potato smash fries. The smash fries sounded like a good idea: rosemary, olive oil and pepper drizzled onto sweet potato fries; while it was good, it wasn't great. In fact, that's how I felt about the entire meal, while it was good, it wasn't great. The burger was okay, the fries were okay, and the price was a bit high for a burger and almost $2.50 for french fries... I signed up for the promo and may stop in again to try it with a friend and hopefully the flavors will be better and leave a more lasting impression.

A step up healthier from Five Guys, but not unreasonable enough to break the bank. They have choices of burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, sides, and shakes. I got the classic smash, which was well, classic. I went negative on the toppings and added the smash sauce. I hate mustard, but this one won me over. It's combined with relish, mayo, mustard, and lemon juice. Of course, the crispy onion strings weren't healthy for the heart, but neither was the burger. Did I feel guilty? Um nooooo.

  • Melody M.

Smashburger is new to my area. I decided to give them a try and see what they are all about. I ordered the Smashburger version of a veggie burger which is a bean patty. I thought it was actually quite delicious. I also ordered a side of 'Smashfries' which are french fries with olive oil and garlic. I was not crazy about the fries and would probably not order them again as they are the thin kind and that's not what I like. Although I enjoyed the veggie burger my boyfriend who is a meat eater was not overly thrilled with his burger. He doesn't seem to care if he goes back there again or not. I will though.

It's like 5 Guys met an upscale partner, and had this amazing baby. While you order at a counter, there are multiple floor persons to deliver food & check on you. Great burgers, kids hot dogs & smash fries. The hagan daz milkshakes rock! We had a Nutter Butter & Oreo. Yum! I'll be back in 48 hours...guaranteed!

The burger is delicious and I love the variety of toppings like avocado, fried eggs and even chorizo! I've tried the orange lemonade drink and t was good just a bit too sweet for my liking. The Haagen Daz shakes are delicious, I tried the Oreo shake. The fries have a great taste because of the rosemary, I just wish they were cut thicker.

Sometimes you just want a burger. And usually once a week that is how I feel. Last week I decided to finally give Smashburger a try. My parents and some friends have told me they enjoyed the place. With Mondays off I thought lunch sounded like a good plan. I want to say up front that I think their logo looks a lot like GameStop. Impact font both with red and white. Coincidence? The inside is very modern and clean but still had a burger joint feel. I went with the double Miami burger, sans the Chipotle mayo, and the Smash Fries. The burger was good but a bit dry. I know that's my fault, I declined the mayo, so I'm not holding that against them much. The fries were excellent. They toss the fries in rosemary, garlic and olive oil. They were quite good. The prices are tad higher than I usually like for burger joints. I dropped $12 for a double burger, fries and drink. And it was a good choice going with the double as I don't think the single would have filled me. I definitely plan on going back again and that time I will try the All American burger. It seems to be the straight forward, traditional cheeseburger. And again, the fries, oh the fries. A good addition to Boynton Beach and the burger scene of South Florida.

Good. Greasy. Flavorful. Slightly higher end than five guys, but same idea. Has beer and milkshakes! Try the onion haystacks. Other people like the fries, but I don't.

Decided to try Smash Burger. I ordered the swiss burger big w/fries. I gotta say. It was pretty good. Nice taste and the fries were done just the way I like them (I hate under cooked fries). I will def go back.

I have recently heard a lot of noise about Smashburger. I signed up on their website and received a generous coupon. I finally got to try them out today. The service was very good and the Classic burger was good. It was just not great. I am a big fan of Five Guys and have to say that in my opinion, Smashburger does not come close. The burger lacked the intense flavor that the Five Guys burger has. The Smashburger egg bun was very good. Also, I was disappointed in the regular fries. They looked and tasted like frozen fries, not like the fresh cut, greasy goodness of Five Guys. My 2 year old grandson had the grilled cheese kids meal. I tasted the grilled cheese and it was excellent. I really wanted to be able to give a better review but the competition out there is stiff.
